The Beauty of Strength
That is was I thought of when I first saw Sheye Rosemeyer's blog. I was led to this blog from Marta's blog. I could never begin to understand the pain she is suffering from the loss of her beautiful Ava. Her blog is the most beautiful and inspiring I have ever seen. Even in tragedy she still sees the beauty in all things. Her strength truely is beautiful. After reading her blog, go and hug your children a little bit longer, laugh a little louder and play... just play.
Even though I have enjoyed my few days without my older two, I can't wait to see them tomorrow and hear all about the fun time they had. I must remember to not take for granted the "noise" that they make. Thank you Sheye and thank you Ava for the gift you just gave me.

10 Reasons Why...
...I'm enjoying my days without my older two boys.
1. No fighing
2. No annoying Sponge Bob cartoon
3. No trail of toys leading from the bedroom to the living room to the kitchen
4. No taking things from Garrik making him scream and cry
5. No fighting, sorry but that warrents being said twice if not more
6. No mess 10 seconds after I clean the house (guess we know who the mess makers are)
7. No noise after Garrik goes down for a nap
8. No "what are we doing fun today" questions
9. No "I'm hungry, feed me" demands
10. Time with just Garrik
A New Found Respect
First I must say cudos to Brekkon, my 7 year old, for doing the Tuff Kids Tri. I definalty respect him and all the hard work he put into it. It's alot easier to stand by the pool and say, "Come on, one more lap".
I just got done doing a Tri class today and it totally kicked my butt. We did a 30 min. run (I ran about 3 miles), 16 mile bike ride and a 30 min. swim. I did about 12 laps in that time, which I am very proud of seeing as how I have NEVER swam laps befor. I decided to do the class because there is a Tri coming up in Sept. that I have been thinking about doing so I wanted to see what I could do. Much to my surprise I loved it all, the running, the biking, the swiming. I am still not sure if I'll do the Tri but I plan on training for it and seeing where I'm at in Aug.

Silence is Golden
My two older boys are off to Philmont Scout Ranch in the rugged New Mexico wilderness. They flew out this morning with Nanna and Grandpa. My sil Kelli works there as a guide. They went out to pay her a little fun visit. From what I understand she has some fun hikes planed for my boys. Yes Kelli, wear them out!
It has been so nice being here with just baby G. I am just loving it. Although I must confess, I wish the G-man could have gone also. Shhh, don't tell him ;).
The bad thing is that with Bill and Teri gone things have been extra crazy with the business. We got a new listing, buyers wanting to look at property and a closing. All of which Blake gets to handle on his lonesome. So I wont be expecting him home these next few nights until after 8:00.
So what am I doing with my free time? Blogging (duh, that's a given!), reading, catching up on my internet scrapbooking and anything else that I can think of. Oh, I just can't keep this smile off my face.

I just can't get enough!

I don't know what it is about this show on the Discovery Channel but I LOVE it. It is called Deadliest Catch. It comes on every Tuesday night @ 10:00. Season three just ended last night so I guess I'll just have to watch the reruns till season four starts. The show is devided into two parts, the first is King Crab and the second is Ophelia Crab which is the smaller crab. It is just amazing to me how these men honestly love what they do. And I have to say I love what they do too!! YUM, YUM. After the show they sit and talk with all the captains and some of the crew. I know, CRAZY but what can I say! Pictured above is the boat of my fav crew the Northwestern. Its captain is Sig Hansen. Below is a pod full of red gold - that is what the fishermen call the crab.

Happy Father's Day
We just love father's day! This year Blake got new bike shoes. I'm not sure if I have mentioned that Blake has taken up biking as a sport. He loves to go road and dirt biking. He has been borrowing his dads shoes, so for fathers day I decided to get him a pair. I got some that can be used for both dirt and road biking. Now he just needs to get the clips put on them and off he goes. I guess we will be looking into a new bike soon.... He also got some much needed shorts and t-shirts.
But I think the best present was what we got for Bill, Blake's dad. For FHE We went to this pottery place here in St. George called Brushfire Pottery Studio. Anyway, we made the plate pictured above. We gave it to him just before we ate our Father's Day dinner. The boys were so excited for him to open his present and eat off it. The big joke is that they will always touch grandpa's food.
Seadoo Fun
After Korbin's party we decided to take the Seadoo's out on the lake for the first time this summer. They actuallyhaven't been used in almost 2 years. Anyway, Dustin and his brother Gunner worked hard to get them cleaned up and ready. After finally registering them here in Utah we were ready to roll. It was very windy and the water was COLD but that didn't stop us! Sure it was too choppy to wake board or ski but the waves were fun to jump and do 360's in. Dustin and Lindsay. Oh, I forgot to mention that this is Dustin and Gunner's first time ever on Jet ski's! Gunner started of mild but soon grew very gutsy and even threw Blake off a few times :D!
Just give him his drink and some Cheetos and he is good to go! As soon as we find or buy (which ever comes first) a life jacket for G we will take him out on the Seadoos. But for today he just enjoyed watching.
Hanging out on the beach.
Happy Birthday Korbin!
We celebrated Korbin's birthday this last Sat. at Sandhollow Aquatic Center. It is an indoor pool with a big slide, a little kiddie area and a lily pad frog walk. All the kids seemed to enjoy themselves and the birthday boy had a blast so overall I would say it was a big success! Here are some of the kids in line ready to go on the slide. Oh, Garrik went down also and wouldn't you know not a single picture of that!
Fun on the lily pads.
For those of you that don't know, Korbin has a BIG obsession with Spider-Man. When the third movie came out he was begging to go see it. So naturally he would have a Spider-Man party. We had cup cakes in the shape of Spider-man (from Wal-mart), black spidy and red spidy plates and cups. He loved it!

Girls Camp
The Camp Ground
After we got all set up and relaxed we went down to the amphitheatre to do our skit. This year the Stake gave each ward a song and we had Thriller. So the girls learned the dance moves to the song and they did a cute skit where they were mad surgeons chasing Matthew McConaughey with a syringe full of love potion. One of our YW held a pic of Matthew over her face. You can't see it very well but I'm sure you get the idea.

Family Fun
For FHE (Family Home Evening) we went to Fiesta Fun and rode the go-karts and bumper boats. We went with Nana Teri, Grandpa Bill, Lindsay, Dustin and Gunner (Dustin's little brother).
After the go-karts Blake, Brekkon, Korbin, Gunner and Dustin decided to cool off with a nice water fight. I don't know who had the most fun, us watching or them.

Those poor animals!
I took the kids to the Wildlife Museum here in St. George for something to do. They have the animals set up where they appear like they are in their natural habitate. Now you have to know that it is a taxidurm museum. It is actually a pretty cool museum. After we were there for a while Korbin said, "mom why aren't the animals moving?". Before I could answer Brekkon pips up with, "thats because they are dead." Next thing I know Korbin starts crying and says, "Their dead! Poor animals!! Why are they dead!" The thing is that he has been to that museum before with his preschool and he couldn't stop talking about the animals. I just didn't realize that he has thought they were real this whole time.
