Brek's First Rock Concert

Lots has happened since I last posted. The latest is that our oldest plays electric guitar. He attends music lessons at The Academy.

The Academy is a school for kids who are interested in rocking out. They put them into "band" groups where they learn to come together to make music. It has been fun watching Brek progress these last 3 months. The Academy ranges from ages 8-18. Now let me give you a little history about Rock 1010. It is the beginning group at The Academy. So these kids that you are going to see on video have only been playing together for 3 months. Some have had little to no music lessons. So to see where they are in such a short amount of time is just wonderful. In this school they choose their instrument of choice but can try other instruments. Brek's instrument is the electric guitar but you will see him sing and play bass. I have to say that I am very impressed with these young kids. They are very brave to get up in front of people and perform.

The video's you will see are of the second night. It was the better of the two performances. The kids are dressed in their Halloween costumes, Brek is the one with the Jason mask.

In order of appearance we have Blitzkrieg Bop sung by Brek Boulter. Second is I Fought the Law sung by Alice (Brek's instructor) Brek has a solo. Third is Love me Do sung by Roxy and Brek is playing Bass. Fourth is Smoke on the Water sung by Dick(another instructor) Brek has the solo again.
